How we check a claim

  1. We pick a claim people repeat, like "it always rains on bank holidays".
  2. We pull years of public data and run a standard statistical test.
  3. We say how sure we are, and when there isn't enough data we say so: inconclusive.
  4. Every post's caption lists the data source, the method, the sample size and the limits.
